Assistant Maintenance Manager
DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Chief Facilities Officer and the Maintenance Manager, the Assistant Maintenance Manager is a working supervisor responsible for all actions necessary for the overall upkeep of the existing buildings and grounds, plus any routine construction necessary at the TVFI Sewickley site. The incumbent is expected to be available twenty-four (24) hours per day by phone or pager and respond to any emergency repair that may hinder the safety and welfare of the individuals. In the course of normal duties, the incumbent will be working closely with the Maintenance Manager and will be supervising maintenance staff and interfacing with all levels of employees, ensuring timely completion of all projects. This is a salaried, exempt position.Shift Available7am-4pm: Monday - FridayContributionsAssists Maintenance Manager with planning, assignment, and supervision of maintenance workers in the general maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities.Determines materials and work methods used in maintenance and repair work.Ensures that staff follow a preventative maintenance schedule for each home.Consults with other department managers to determine effectiveness and efficiency of departmental procedures.Examines inventory records for accuracy and adherence to inventory control procedures.Reviews inventory of stock items to ensure that the level is consistent with usage.Initiates or supervises requisition procedures on depleted stock.Trains new staff as needed. Minimum Training And ExperienceFour (4) years of experience in maintenance and repair or construction of buildings or facilities.Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
