D365 CE Solution Architect

Senior Solution Architect with extensive Wall Street, Wealth Management, and Financial Services experience to lead workflow transformation and modernization initiatives for a leading U.S. financial institution. The architect will work directly with business stakeholders, technology leadership, application architects, and engineering teams to assess current-state processes, define target-state architecture, create transformation roadmaps and prototypes, and guide delivery using Microsoft technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead executive, business, and technology stakeholder workshops and structured discovery sessions.Assess current-state Wealth Management workflows, operating processes, application landscape, integrations, and automation opportunities.Define target-state business processes, solution architecture, integration patterns, security considerations, and implementation roadmaps.Build, qualify, prioritize, and manage a transformation backlog based on business value, feasibility, risk, and dependencies.Lead architecture for workflow modernization initiatives, including client onboarding, account opening, advisor and client servicing, document and file management, enterprise scheduling, trade blotter, and related operations processes.Identify opportunities for Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365 CE, Azure Integration Services, BPM platforms, and data and process automation.Guide prototypes and proof-of-concepts that validate business outcomes, architecture decisions, and implementation feasibility.Collaborate with business analysts, Power Platform and Dynamics 365 consultants, application architects, integration teams, engineering teams, and delivery leadership.Produce architecture blueprints, decision records, functional and non-functional requirements, estimates, delivery plans, and executive-ready recommendations.Provide architecture governance and delivery guidance through implementation, testing, release planning, and adoption.Required Experience15+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, business applications, workflow transformation, or related roles.10+ years of direct experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management, Brokerage, Registered Investment Advisor, Trust, Investment Management, or Capital Markets environments.Proven experience leading discovery, target-state design, modernization roadmaps, and implementation planning for complex financial services organizations.Demonstrated experience working directly with senior business leaders, product owners, architects, compliance stakeholders, and engineering teams.Experience translating business objectives and operating-model needs into scalable solution architecture and actionable delivery backlogs.Experience leading customer-facing presentations, architecture reviews, solution trade-off discussions, and executive decision-making.Required Wealth Management and Capital Markets ExpertiseExperience with broker-dealer, Registered Investment Advisor, private wealth, trust, or investment management operations.Ability to converse credibly with wealth advisors, portfolio managers, operations leaders, compliance teams, technology leaders, and executive stakeholders.Experience modernizing advisor desktop, client onboarding, account opening, client servicing, and wealth operations workflows.Strong understanding of advisory operations, investment and account servicing lifecycles, portfolio management workflows, trade blotter processes, regulatory obligations, and supervisory controls.Ability to translate Wealth Management business objectives into target-state operating models, workflow automation strategies, data requirements, and solution architecture recommendations.Required Technical SkillsMicrosoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and platform governance.Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and API-based integration patterns.Business Process Management and enterprise workflow platforms.Banking and Financial Services digital transformation.Data and process automation.Enterprise application integration, security, data architecture, and non-functional solution design.Requirements discovery, business process assessment, architecture modeling, and roadmap development.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.Core CompetenciesExecutive presence and strong customer-facing communication.Domain credibility combined with hands-on architecture depth.Structured problem solving and evidence-based decision-making.Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and drive stakeholder alignment.Clear written communication, architecture documentation, and presentation skills.Ability to operate effectively across business, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams.
