Operations Manager

Position Title: Plant Operations ManagerReports to: Plant Manager Location: Maplewood - Holland, MIPeople First. At Motus, we’re revolutionizing the manufacturing industry and seeking a passionate, forward-thinking Operations Manager to help us make an impact and drive this position to new heights!A successful candidate will be high energy, driven, resourceful and a problem solver.ResponsibilitiesWorks with Facilities, Maintenance and EHS Departments to ensure a healthy and safe work environmentInvestigates and strives to sustain corrective countermeasures of all OSHA recordables and near-miss incidentsDevelops and maintains quality standards combined with productivity goalsDevelops and maintains a team approach while working with operators, supervisors, and engineers to identify and address internal quality issuesEstablishes production priorities. Plans and directs production activities to meet these timelinesAssures meeting the production dates from planningAssures On-Time-Delivery to both internal and external customersWorks with engineers and production control to meet scheduling demands and assures profitabilityWorks with the purchasing and planning team to drive inventory to the proper level based on demandWorks cross-functionally to set up the flow of product through the facilityMonitors daily productivity and sets an action plan for better achievement as neededEstablishes and works with cross-functional teams to achieve the desired efficiency goalsEstablishes, trains, and mentor’s lean practicesIdentify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system, tracking each to closureResponsible for preparing the plant for a successful launch through the correct use of the Plant Launch Glide Path SystemResponsible for coordinating the activities of the Plant Operations Team to assure plant systems, equipment, and tracking programs are completed on time and in compliance with the Plant Launch Glide Path SystemResponsible for assuring launch “0, 0, 100, 30” goals are met, working through the Operations Manager and Plant ManagerRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field required7+ years of experience in manufacturing management leadership role5+ years of experience in Operations functionsAutomotive industry experience a plusCertified Six Sigma a plusWho We AreMotus Integrated Technologies is a dynamic, half-billion-dollar global leader in manufacturing high-quality headliners and interior trim solution products for the automotive industry.
