Clinical Director-RN

Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in the backyard of Michigan State University in East Lansing MI We currently have a vacancy for a Clinical Director RN This position is responsible for direct the 24 hour operation of the RC Clinical Services Ensure that the highest degree of quality care and service is maintained and that regulatory guidelines are met or exceeded Work with the Director of Resident Center to oversee risk management in the Resident Center and ensure smooth coordination of services Provide leadership and communication consistent with the philosophies of the Burcham Culture and adherence to Home for the Aged Rules and other regulations as well as policies and procedures of Burcham Hills in addition to the following duties ManagementSupervision Responsible for the supervision of the Care Coordinators and Care PartnersDetermine staffing needs; interview select hire and oversee onboarding of assigned staffAssign and direct work of subordinates; recognize reward and discipline staff address concerns and resolve problemsAssure adequate clinical skills training and monitoring of team for service compliance and delivery of safe effective and appropriate careSupervise the maintenance of clinical records e MARs and e TARs and audit documentation for accuracyReview incident reports follow up and ensure implementation of appropriate interventions Prepare HFA reports as necessaryQuality Care Compliance and Clinical Services Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide a safe welcoming and caring environmentPerform clinical set ups including input of medications into e MAR medication orders and ancillary services including dietary therapy home care and hospicePerform routine assessmentobservation of residents physical and psycho social needs and coordinate with other departments to ensure high quality proactive careCommunicate with physicians regarding residents clinical status needs and condition changesDirect clinical service delivery to residents by therapy home health agencies and hospice teamsParticipate in resident family care conferences as appropriateCoordinate with Care Managers regarding resident and family concerns quality issues audits and management of risk and care issuesEstablish and implement quality assurance performance improvement QAPI initiatives for improved clinical care according to company policies and as requiredIf you like to smile enjoy providing exceptional hospitality and want to work in a fun and rewarding environment where you are positively affecting the lives of seniors we want to hear from you Qualifications Must have a current and valid state nursing license; RN or BSN required Must have three to five years related supervisory experience Assisted Living experience strongly preferred Must possess extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment Ability to work independently and within a team in a multi faceted role Possesses extensive knowledge of clinical practices and procedures laws regulations and guidelines that pertain to Homes for the Aged Ability to work extended or flexible hours as necessary PERKS OUTSIDE OF THE PAYCHECK Senior advocacyRewarding hospitality driven environmentGrowth opportunitiesDiverse cultureOpen door atmosphereDiscounted employee mealsFree parkingEmployee Assistance Program to all employeesEligible for benefits as of the 31st day of employmentEmployee recognition programsBeautiful resort like campus on 38 acresJoin an exceptional teamMany roles at Burcham Hills may require that we ask about your vaccination status This could include MMR chicken pox hepatitis flu and COVID 19 vaccine status Please note that all employees are required to provide proof of COVID 19 vaccination or apply for and receive an approved exemption as a condition of employment Drug free workplace EEO & E verify employer sponsor
