SETA Principal Acquistion Lead
Position SummaryMAG Aerospace is seeking a SETA Principal Acquisition Lead to support a Project Office at Fort Belvoir, VA. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award, expected in late May 2025. Work is forecasted to be 100% on-site. Candidates may be required to complete pre-hire assessments evaluating general cognition, technical aptitude, and communication skills.
An active DoD Secret Clearance is required
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute acquisition management across the entire product line
Coordinate products and tasks across the acquisition process and life cycle phases
Prepare, configure, and staff all milestone documentation
Assist with determining contracting strategy, preparing contracting documents, and coordinating with Army Contracting Command
Participate in source selection boards and conduct technical evaluations
Lead and oversee product IPTs, test events, and product demonstrations
Provide contract oversight for assigned products
Maintain and manage program budget and master schedule
Identify cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs
Lead preparation of Supply Requests Packages and manage transition of products from PM to DLA or Army Sustainment
Draft and develop Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, and other acquisition documents
Support pre-award contracts, financial and risk management, cost determination, and contract coordination
Coordinate contracting actions with local procurement contracting officers
Perform acquisition strategy requirements

RequirementsMinimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Expert knowledge of cost, schedule, and performance management in a program office environment
Demonstrated skill in Product Life Cycle Management and Project Team Management
Experience preparing acquisition and contracting documents including J&As, Source Selection Plans, PWSs, IGCEs, D&Fs
Familiarity with WAWF, iRAPT, cost analysis, project management, database management, and GFEBS
Strong knowledge of DODI 5000.02, Defense Acquisition System, and JCIDS
Experience
The minimum years of relevant acquisition experience required: 18
Acquisition career specialization aligned to duty assignment (e.g., Program Management, Contracting, Logistics)
Education
The minimum level of education required is: Bachelor's Degree
Clearance
Active SECRET security clearance (verifiable in DISS)

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $160000 to $205000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
