PON Software Engineer

Our client, a leader in the optical networking space is looking for a PON Software Engineer for a full-time position. This individual will be working onsite in Mansfield MA to develop software for industry leading passive optical networking solutions for real time Linux environments. This individual will be developing the next generation of routing and switching software solutions supporting 10 GPS PON network technologies and application for Layer 2/3 data networking. They will be designing, implementing and testing C/C++ and Python software for managing PON network devices.Required Skills7+ years of experience designing and developing software solutions in data networking and/or telecommunications environments Proficiency in C/C++ Python, Object Oriented Design, embedded software and software engineering principles Solid understanding of Linux operating systems including tools, scripting, system calls, socket programming, databases and software development in a Linux environment Experience with tools and infrastructure such as GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA, Docker builx, and Yocto Design experience w/ Broadband technologies including PON (FTTx), OLT and ONT/ONU Design experience with Docker, SDN and NFV as well as Database applications, preferably MongoDB or JSON like databases Familiarity with Web development frameworks such as Angular and Django, user interface design and Reactive web design ClearBridge Technology Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We Offer Excellent Benefits And Compensation Packages.The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $$118,600.00 – $189,400.00 per hourThe posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
