Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator / Material Bander at Structural Building Solutions' Trinity, North Carolina manufacturing facility you will be responsible for providing supply chain support through the collection, loading, shipping, and receiving of materials from one location to another within the plant facilities efficiently and safely.Primary responsibilities include:Completing the daily forklift checklist at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper and safe operation and the identification of any issues that may require maintenance intervention.Loading and unloading incoming or outgoing cargo trucks in a timely manner, stacking material in the assigned places.Finding and moving stacks of products, pallets, or boxes to store or ship.Supplying the production areas with the raw materials that are required for each work order.Band truss packages as one unit and securing other product for transportLifting oversize truss packages with forklift. Removing finished products from workstations.Emptying the garbage containers from the workstations in the main container.Putting diesel in the forklift.Washing the forklift once a week.Qualified applicants must be able to:Read and write in their primary language.Follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Work well with others in a team environment.Job requirements:Few extended hours, as needed.Working in a manufacturing environment that includes all types of weather, noise, and dust.Working on and around the machinery/equipment and the associated safety risks.Working outdoors in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.Physical requirements:•       Sitting for long periods of time.•       Lifting up to 50 pounds; occasionally requires elevating or pushing up to 110 pounds. •       Repetitively bending down to ground level.•       Getting off and on forklift multiple times a day thoughout the day.
