Discover your exciting roleThe EHS Assistant Manager works with and advises business line leadership and field personnel ensuring implementation of the company’s Incident Free Workplace Culture.Explore Your Tasks And ResponsibilitiesDevelops, Compiles and maintains Health, Environmental, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legislative and Company requirementsManages site based safety employees and personnel through a matrix organizationIdentifies safety related training requirements for all designated Global employees Leads implementing Company Best Practice / Best Known Methods Provides expert guidance to Company management regarding EHS issuesSupports new work pursuits, including preparing safety prequalification and client presentationsSupports new project start upAssists in design and implementation of safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, utilizing knowledge of engineering technology, industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety regulations, standards, and best practicesSupports and advises project management in the effective implementation of EHS policies and proceduresFacilitates training as necessaryEnsuring compliance with OSHA 10 / 30 training requirements (as per training planWorks closely with regional and site operational management to address issues, perform RCAs and drive continuous improvementFacilitates the Company objective of maintaining an “Incident Free Workplace”, promoting safety awareness and ownership in the designated RegionMaintains contact and coordinates with client safety organizationsDevelops project safety plans and specificationsEnsures project management risk assessments and activity related hazards are completedUndertakes formal auditing of Company workplaces to gauge compliance with Company EHS policies and procedures. Audits for a successful safety culture. Coaches where and when neededSupports Hazardous Waste Management program ensuring compliance to local legislationOther duties as assignedShow Your ExpertiseMinimum RequiredEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or an applied science field preferred PreferredFacility Operations safety experience required Must obtain one of the following Professional Certifications/License (or country equivalent) within 3 months: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) 30-hour OSHA certification (OSHA 500 preferred)15+ years of experience, education in lieu is acceptableStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExceptional organization and coordination skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsContactYou want to be part of the Exyte team?
