Electrical Hardware Design EngineerLocation: Bloomington, MNPay: Up to $88/hourWork Type: OnsiteSchedule: 9/80 Work ScheduleOverview:Seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to support the development of mission-critical airborne systems hardware , including mission computers, sensor processors, and stores management systems. This role supports the full hardware development lifecycle from requirements analysis through manufacturing, integration, and qualification testing.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop complex electrical hardware systems and circuit card assembliesPerform requirements analysis, schematic capture, and hardware architecture developmentDefine PCB/PWB routing constraints and support layout activitiesSupport manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification of hardware systemsCollaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customersPerform signal integrity and power integrity analysisSupport troubleshooting, validation, and system verification activitiesContribute to high-speed, high-density hardware designs using advanced packaging techniquesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field8+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6+ years)Experience with circuit card and electrical hardware designStrong understanding of the hardware development lifecycleExperience with high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, or FPGA-based systemsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills:Experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suiteExperience with HyperLynx Signal Integrity / Power Integrity analysisExperience designing with fiber optic interfacesExperience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testersBackground in defense, aerospace, or airborne systemsExperience with advanced PCB/PWB materials and packaging technologiesWhy Join CPI?For over 40 years, Contract Professionals, Inc.
