Job Title: Data Engineer / Application DeveloperLocation: Onsite – Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH (Must be local)Industry: Banking / Financial ServicesJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Application Developer to join full time. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain data-driven applications and support regulatory and compliance initiatives. This role requires a strong background in Spark, Python, and Hadoop (Cloudera) along with banking industry experience.You will be part of a team focused on developing data requirements based on regulatory mandates, ensuring systems are compliant, efficient, and scalable.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement new data and application solutions, and maintain existing systems.Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data requirements driven by regulatory and business needs.Support Run-the-Bank (RTB) operations, ensuring system reliability and compliance.Perform data modeling and architecture using Erwin.Manage Hadoop Cloudera environments — including administration, HDFS file processing, and Hadoop table management.Develop and maintain data pipelines using Spark3, Python, and Shell scripting.Work with Alation or similar data discovery and reporting tools for metadata management.Participate in Agile ceremonies and leverage tools such as Jira, Git Bash, Jenkins, uDeploy, and CA7 for version control, CI/CD, and scheduling.Required Technical Skills (6+ Years):Apache Spark3PythonShell ScriptingHadoop Cloudera (Admin & Development)HDFS file and table processingData Architecture & System DesignData Modeling with Erwin ToolExperience with Alation or other Data Mining/Reporting toolsPreferred / Flex Skills:Familiarity with Agile methodologyExperience with Jira, GIT Bash, Jenkins, uDeploy, CA7
