HR Generalist (Standalone / Sole HR Practitioner)

Description:Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly self-sufficient and proactive HR Generalist to serve as the sole HR professional within our organization. This role is responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources functions, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, and experienced in using Paylocity to support HR operations, payroll, and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Recruiting (Primary Focus)Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidatesPartner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategiesCreate and post job descriptions across multiple platforms using Paylocity and JobTargetBuild and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needsEnsure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring processTrack recruiting metrics and optimize hiring processesHR Operations & AdministrationServe as the primary point of contact for all HR-related mattersMaintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsAdminister HR policies, procedures, and programsManage onboarding and outboarding processesHandle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentialityPayroll, HRIS & Paylocity ManagementAdminister payroll and benefits using Paylocity and Employee NavigatorMaintain and optimize HRIS data, reporting, and workflows within PaylocityGenerate reports and provide insights on workforce metricsTroubleshoot system issues and act as internal Paylocity expertCompliance & Policy ManagementEnsure compliance with employment laws and regulationsUpdate and maintain employee handbook and HR policiesSupport audits and ensure proper documentationAdditional HR FunctionsSupport performance management processesCoordinate training and development initiatives as neededAssist leadership with organizational planning and HR strategyRequirements:QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a standalone or small-company environmentStrong experience in full-cycle recruitingHands-on experience with PaylocityWorking knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience building HR processes from the ground upHR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)Experience in a fast-paced or growing companyCompensation details: 56000-60000 Yearly SalaryPIbbe5e23f5e08-26289-40388479
