Our supportive culture is built on respect, friendliness, and a shared commitment to exceptional patient care.What You'll DoThe House Charge Nurse is a Registered Nurse with advanced expertise in the field of clinical patient care management. The House Charge Nurse possesses the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide expert nursing care, acts as a role model, team leader, and supervisor within nursing departments.Evaluates overall nursing care, protocols and procedures through clinical practice, rounds, patient observation and documentation.Continually monitors and reports on opportunities for process improvement.Coordinates unit activities and organizes/assigns work to the nursing staff.Takes action based upon clinical judgment and knowledge of current practice standards.Collaborates with Chief Nursing Officer, Education Coordinator and departmental Directors to carry out practice standards and staff education to enhance the quality of care.Supervises nursing staff performance and assures appropriate staff scheduling.Assesses, monitors, and educates nursing staff on patient care.Communicates closely with nursing unit Directors and health care team to ensure follow-through between shifts and on weekends.Acts as a resource for staff and provides on-site nursing leadership for the evening shift and weekends.Hours may overlap day and evening hours as directed by nursing leadership.Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.Who We're Looking ForGraduation from an approved program in nursing.Must possess a currently valid State of Colorado license to practice as a Registered Nurse. BSN or equivalent preferred.Must have current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.ACLS, PALS or ENPC, & TNCC certifications are required within 6 months of initial employment.Emergency Room experience required.Minimum 5 years overall nursing experience preferred.Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in management in a hospital setting preferred.What We OfferOur total rewards package includesPay Range: $46.00 - $57.00/hour (based on experience)Shift Differentials: $2-$4/hour for nights and weekendsPRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salaryPerks: Flexible scheduling, employee assistance program, access to outdoor recreation, and more!Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.Position is open until filled unless posted otherwise.Why Join Grand River Health?As a special taxing district, we are accountable to our community, allowing us to prioritize exceptional patient-centered care over financial bottom lines.
