Roto Mold Operator (Manufacturing Tech 1) - 2nd Shift

Chemical Rotational Molding OperatorIPS RMB Products is seeking a Chemical Rotational Molding Operator who is responsible for operating and maintaining Roto-mold equipment to produce quality products. The Operator ensures products are produced to engineering specifications and that the finished product meets quality standards of RMB and customer demands. RMB fosters a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and pride in delivering complex, high-value products.Job Accountabilities:Will have a willingness to learn and improve through on-the-job trainingSet up machines to start production cycles; prepare molds by cleaning them, adding inserts, and other componentsProgram time, temperature, and rotation on machine to achieve proper molding per set up sheetsAssure that all vent tubes and parting lines are cleaned each time on rotational moldObtain correct powder and molds per work order; and fills buckets with the proper resin, dye, and/or weight to ensure qualityInstalls and/or removes pins and/or insert into proper place on the moldsProperly mount molds and lined products on proper machine armReceive, inspect, and return molds after work order is completedMaintain machine readiness with completion of daily and weekly preventative maintenance formsStage and prepare production runsTeflon coat rings and plates as requiredClock time and move parts completed on work orderCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsRemove lined product from arm and trim off end capsInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsRemove part from mold and at the proper time trim and de-flash as requiredVisually inspect each part for qualityReject non-conforming parts as needed and place them in designated areaInspect finished parts for delamination, voids or bubbles, and contaminationDeviate scrap products when completing a job; Fill out and turn in scrap forms for deviated productsDocuments all molding, trim/preassembly, preventive maintenance and safety procedures and insures complianceProvides a quality product that meets industry standards and customer expectation to be shippedMaintains time and productions recordsFollows all safety regulationsMaintain work areas per the 5S MethodologySuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crewNotifies supervisor when problems ariseMakes optimum use of time and keeps work area clean and neatAbides by all the policies, procedures, guidelines of RMB including safety practices and regulationsCompletes other duties as assigned by Chemical Production SupervisorJob Specifications:Education:High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredYears' Experience:0-1 years of relevant experienceSkills:Ability to understand and follow instructions given out orally and in writing by the Chemical Production Supervisor or customer expectations and requirementsMust maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and RMBAbility to read and interpret blueprints and customer provided specificationsRequires use of forklifts, cranes, Rotational molding machines and other heavy machinery, and pneumatic and impact toolsExhibits objectivity and openness to other's views and contributes to building a positive team spiritRequires advance writing, math, and mechanical skillsRequires a flexible and cooperative attitude, which includes when asked to perform other duties or tasks that are not listed within this job description but within the scope of this positionRequires communication skills both written and orally in the English languageRequires excellent safety practices, which includes keeping a clean work areaInterpersonal skills are essential and vital to maintain an organized warehouseEffectively process change through RMB feedback and reviewsRequires personal responsibility and accountability meeting workmanship standards with little supervision to complete assignmentsStanding: working with machinerySitting: computer workRepetitive movementAbility to operate a for-lift and overhead craneLifting no more than 50 pounds alone and assisting in team lifts of more than 50 poundsEach employee is to fulfill the work schedule, work hours, and productivity expectations of their supervisor and RMBEmployee is to comply with established standards, policies and laws applicable to our businessSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusBenefits:At RMB Products, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
