L Cleared Project Manager/Assistant Project ManagerWe are seeking an L Cleared Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to lead teams delivering complex capital and infrastructure projects across a large, operational campus environment. This PM may provide support to existing projects as an Assistant PM or take on delivery of other projects in portfolio based on skill/ability level. Like many government-owned, contractor-operated sites, Knolls is continuously modernizing aging infrastructure to support new office buildings, laboratory facilities, utilities, and other mission-support systems. Projects span a wide range of scopes and must be executed within evolving budgets, strict regulatory requirements, and formal government approval processes. This role offers the scale and complexity of major capital project delivery in a stable, site-based environment, without the travel typically associated with similar work. It is well suited for someone who enjoys leading teams through challenging project conditions and seeing work through from planning to execution.Lead multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of capital, facility, laboratory, office, and infrastructure projectsDefine project scope, develop execution strategies, and establish cost, schedule, procurement, and resource plansAdapt project strategies to evolving budgets and government funding cyclesGuide projects through internal governance and government approval processes, including development of decision packages and submittalsCoordinate across engineering, construction, procurement, finance, operations, sponsors, and oversight stakeholders.Oversee general contractor and subcontractor execution in a highly regulated environmentIdentify and mitigate risks related to scope changes, budget constraints, and working within existing infrastructureCapture lessons learned and contribute to improving overall project execution practices.Ability to lead project teams through complex constraints within a structured regulatory frameworkStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey project needs and statusSound judgment when navigating changing budgets, shifting priorities, and multiple approval stepsAbility to solve practical infrastructure and facility challenges on an active siteLeadership presence and ability to align matrixed teamsOwnership mindset with strong follow-throughCapital projects within complex campuses, industrial sites, government facilities, or similar environmentsOffice buildings, laboratory facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projectsWorking within formal approval and funding processesContractor and subcontractor managementCost estimating, scheduling, procurement planning, and change control.L Clearance must be active.
