Accounting Specialist

Job DescriptionExperience is required!OverviewOne of our clients in Buford is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial statement preparation, double-entry bookkeeping, and accounts receivable. This position requires knowledge of accrual accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and familiarity with GAAP. The Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations. Duties• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements • Set up employees in timekeeping software and perform payroll duties, including state and federal withholding payments • Manage accounts payable process, including entering and paying vendor invoices • Perform double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions • Manage accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls as required • Conduct monthly accrual accounting and perform banking reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting • Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards • Utilize accounting software to record and track financial transactions Experience• Degree in Accounting or related field• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis • Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping principles • Experience managing accounts receivable processes • Knowledge of accrual accounting practices • Experience in budgeting and forecasting processes • Thorough understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Proficiency in using the QuickBooks Server-based softwareIf you are detail-oriented with a strong background in accounting principles and practices, we encourage you to apply for the Accounting Specialist position.
