System Engineer
Trinity Cyber is the inventor and provider of a new cybersecurity technology. Cybersecurity processes have traditionally been located within an organization’s network with an outward view of trying to prevent any incursions. This approach is fraught with inefficiency and ineffectiveness as exhibited by the daily news of cyber-attacks. We have adopted the novel approach of developing and placing our cybersecurity software within the internet to prevent cyber-attacks. We accomplish this by running an organization’s electronic traffic through our software where we can mitigate threat content, in real time, before it reaches an organization’s network. This approach is unique, protected by two patents in the US, and is changing the world of cybersecurity.Due to federal contract restrictions, only US citizens will be considered for hireDuties and ResponsibilitiesConfigure, deploy, and maintain F5 systems, including Load Balancers, Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), and SSL offloading configurations.Troubleshoot and resolve F5-related performance and availability issues, ensuring minimal service disruptions.Collaborate with network, systems, and security teams to integrate F5 solutions into the broader network and infrastructure environment.Design and implement traffic management rules, including server load balancing (GSLB) and local server load balancing (LSLB).Manage F5 configurations.Monitor F5 systems for health and performance, providing proactive recommendations for optimization.Configure and maintain F5 to manage application traffic and provide enhanced functionality.Ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the deployment and maintenance of F5 systems.Support incident response and root cause analysis for any F5-related issues impacting critical applications or services.Develop and maintain documentation for F5 configurations, change management, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.Provide technical support and guidance to other company teams and end-users regarding F5 traffic management solutions.Perform F5 system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure continued system functionality.Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware or software-related issues and escalate problems when necessary.Qualifications:A related technical degree and 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Hands-on experience with F5, including Load Balancers, ADCs, and SSL offloading.Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and SSL/TLS.Experience with F5 iRules and traffic management policies for application delivery.Proficiency in configuring and managing F5 systems for high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.Ability to troubleshoot complex F5 issues, including performance, connectivity, and security problems.Familiarity with monitoring and reporting tools for F5 system performance (e.g., F5 Analytics).Strong understanding of application delivery, load balancing, and optimization techniques.Excellent documentation skills for creating and maintaining configuration guides, troubleshooting steps, and change management records.Desired Skills:F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools for F5 management (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).Experience with DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and security mechanisms in the context of F5 load balancing. This employer participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
