Senior Software Test EngineerLER TechForce is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support the test design, development, and validation of material handling equipment. For more than 20 years, we have partnered with customers across North America to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver innovative technical solutions.Job LocationOn-site in Columbus, IndianaWhat You Will Be DoingReview system requirements and provide clear, actionable feedback.Develop test scenarios and test cases based on system features, requirements, and architecture designs.Perform manual and automated software testing.Execute software test cases on vehicle and bench setups.Analyze test data, evaluate results, and document findings.Troubleshoot system issues, including power, harness, setup, and software defects.Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to support issue resolution and product validation.What You'll Need to Be SuccessfulRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.5+ years of software testing experience in a related engineering environment.Strong understanding of system and software testing methodologies.Experience designing and executing manual and automated test cases.Experience with black-box or gray-box testing at the module or system level.Hands-on experience with CAN communication, system-level testing, or bench-level testing.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Basic Linux knowledge.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Python, including the ability to modify test scripts based on test requirements.Testing experience in automotive, embedded systems, or industrial equipment environments.Experience with network and connectivity technologies such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular.Experience operating or testing industrial equipment.Experience with Azure DevOps, including Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans, or Azure Artifacts.Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, or Jenkins.Knowledge of CANopen or J1939 protocols.Experience with the Pytest framework.Experience with shop floor organization, standardization, or continuous improvement practices.Why Join LER TechForce?We believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally through:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) optionsEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Discount ProgramsTechnical Training OpportunitiesLeadership Development ProgramsExposure to industry-leading engineering projects and technologiesIf you are passionate about technology, software testing, and delivering reliable solutions for complex equipment systems, we encourage you to apply.
