Job Plant Controller
Plant ControllerLocation: Southington, CT, US, 06489 Business Unit: Advanced Medical ComponentsThe Plant Controller is an impactful leader that manages the Accounting and Finance operations consistent with the Company's business plan. Specifically, this is the key financial partner to the plant managers as the business grows both top and bottom line. This is a hands-on operational accounting role that requires strength in product cost accounting and inventory management in a job shop manufacturing environment. You will be equally comfortable on the plant floor investigating production variances as you are creating and analyzing detailed balance sheet reconciliations. This position manages tight deadlines, competing priorities and a full range of accounting activities including general ledger, financial reporting, year-end and internal audit support, Sarbanes Oxley documentation/compliance, physical inventory counts, and support of budget and forecast activities. The role reports to the Director, BU Controller.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for product costing and profitability analyses by customer and productResponsible for all inventory management in relation to valuation (bill of materials, standard costs, and overhead rates), physical count accuracy, and provisions for excess and obsolete inventoryResponsible for the weekly and monthly orders, sales, profit, and working capital forecastsResponsible for the preparation of the annual operating budgetProvides financial leadership that leads to improved working capital managementCompletes monthly account reconciliations of all balance sheet and P&L accountsResponsible for the reporting and improvement of various key performance indicators (P&L, balance sheet, and cash) and cash management activitiesPrepares capital appropriation requests, monitors capital spending, and ensures adherence to corporate policiesOversees all compliance with both internal and external auditorsImplements finance and accounting changes to improve productivity and reduce costResponsible for implementing and overseeing a robust internal control environment and ensures compliance with all SOX requirementsRequirements10+ years of proven, progressive Finance leadership, including global experience in an engineering-centric, product development, and delivery organization.Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration requiredMaster's in business administration preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or other certifications are a plusA minimum of 8-12 years manufacturing or operational accounting experienceKnowledge of Hyperion Financial Management is a plusExperience with ERP system implementation is a plusOperational experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredCompensationEmployee Type: Salaried Currency: USD Salary Minimum: 150,000 Salary Maximum: 160,000 Incentive: YesDisclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
