Security Engineering Manager, Platform Security
Overview
In this hands-on leadership role, you will shape and scale CoreWeave's Platform Security engineering program across Kubernetes and multi-cloud environments. You’ll define strategy, build security controls, and guide a growing team to protect the infrastructure that underpins AI workloads at scale. You’ll collaborate with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and SRE to embed security into the platform and cloud lifecycle. This position offers the chance to influence security posture across AWS, GCP, and Azure while enabling rapid, safe innovation.

ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Platform Security across Kubernetes and multi-cloud environmentsLead and grow a team of platform security engineers through mentorship and performance managementDesign, build, and operate security controls for the Kubernetes-based platform (workload isolation, admission control, runtime policy enforcement, tenant boundary integrity)Drive CSPM and security posture for third-party clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) including IAM hygiene and guardrailsMature image integrity and supply chain security (signing, provenance, base image governance)Embed security into Kubernetes control plane, deployment workflows, and pipelines in partnership with Infrastructure and Platform EngineeringCollaborate with Security Operations on detection, investigation, and response for platform and cloud security incidentsDefine engineering standards, guardrails, and metrics to scale security capabilitiesAct as senior escalation point for platform and cloud security risks and complex cross-functional issues
