Is responsible for negotiating rates with outside vendors.ResponsibilitiesSchedule transportation of equipment for all Rental locations in determining whether or not to use internal drivers and/or outside hauling when necessary to ensure equipment is delivered as expected.Responsible for tracking, communicating and helping to control Rental Services costs for transportation.Communicate with customers as to the location of shipments and if shipments are going to be running late.Schedule transfers between Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula Michigan for Rental & Used departments.Researches, evaluates, negotiates and determines the proper outside haulers to fill transportation needs.Assist in the negotiation of new contracts with dedicated fleet companies.Develop and assist Leadership Team to mold behaviors of Coordinators and Sales Team to maximize freight recovery.Develop, improve and implement processes to help freight recovery numbers.Develop and implement efficiencies while driving down overall transportation costs.All other duties as assigned.RequirementsQualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred3 plus years in a similar role/capacity and industry requiredHeavy equipment and the rental business experience preferredLead or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of heavy equipment and the rental businessExcellent communication and customer service skillsComputer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work outside normal business hoursTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
