*Controller needed for long-established General Contractor in Rock Hill, SC* * *Position: Controller* * *Location: Rock Hill, SC* * *Salary Range: $140K - $165K + Bonus - Highly Dependent on Experience* * *Schedule: Full-Time, In Office* *Company Overview* Long-established, family owned general contractor doing *$100M+ in annual revenue across multiple offices in the Carolinas*. The company works across a broad mix of public and private construction and has an established four-person finance and accounting team. This Controller will sit at the top of the internal accounting function and lead the day-to-day financial operation across *job costing, financial reporting, accounts payable, cost centers, divisional reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and broader construction accounting*. We are seeking an experienced *Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or senior construction accounting leader* who is hands-on, comfortable leading a team, and experienced working in a project-based accounting environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with *construction accounting, WIP, percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, multi-division or multi-cost-center accounting, and accounting process improvement*. Experience with a general contractor is highly preferred, although candidates coming from larger specialty contractors or other project-based construction environments will also be considered. This person will be expected to help tighten up accounting processes, improve job costing and reporting, and lead a four-person accounting team effectively. Over time, the role will also expand into *financial modeling for the company’s development arm*, creating significant room to grow beyond a traditional Controller scope and become more involved in the broader financial side of the business.
