In this role, the Technical Assistant supports engineers with data collection, organization, and analysis related to geotechnical investigations and project documentation. Daily responsibilities may include preparing reports and technical documents, updating project files, and assisting with basic calculations and data entry. The role also involves responding to internal and external technical support requests, coordinating information between team members, and maintaining accurate records in project management systems. The Technical Assistant collaborates closely with engineering staff, contributes to efficient project workflows, and helps ensure timely, high-quality deliverables for clients.Qualifications Strong technical assistance and technical support skills, with the ability to help engineering staff and colleagues resolve routine technical issues.Solid analytical skills for reviewing data, identifying inconsistencies, and supporting basic geotechnical or project-related analysis.Clear and professional communication skills, including the ability to write concise emails, document notes, and interact with team members and clients.Customer service orientation when responding to inquiries, supporting internal stakeholders, and helping maintain positive client relationships.Proficiency with office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort working with spreadsheets and databases.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and documentation requirements.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating on-site in Orlando, FL and independently from home.Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technology, or a related field is preferred; relevant technical experience may be considered in place of formal education.Interest in geotechnical engineering or related disciplines and willingness to learn on the job.
