The History Department at Iona University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach a foundational, introductory course, "Timeless Issues in History," during the fall 2026 semester. The course meets Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, and the description is as follows: "This course will illuminate seven enduring themes of history: (1) War and Peace, (2) Government, (3) Religion, (4) Culture, Ethnicity and Gender, (5) Transformative Ideas and Intellectual Trends, (6) Social Hierarchies and Structures and (7) Trade and Economy. Select eras and societies from global history will be used to exemplify to consider and to critique these themes." The minimum requirement for the positions is a Master's degree in History or a related field.
