At Teklus, we don’t just build structures; we build trust through streamlined management and a commitment to lasting quality.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Commissioning Owner’s Representative (Cx OR) to join the site leadership team. As this Project Manager you are actively managing compliance and ensuring quality assurance. Your mission is to develop a site-level quality culture and act as the single point of contact for all Quality and Commissioning activities. You will navigate the nuance between being the guardian of compliance and a collaborative partner who finds creative ways to meet business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Ensure project execution complies with Owner standards, governing codes, and engineered specifications.Commissioning (Cx) Leadership: Manage the five levels of commissioning—from Level 0 (Design) through Level 5 (Integrated Systems Testing). Manage the Cx Agency designated by the owner team.Contract & Process Administration: Manage the business of the field, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, drawings, and change order proposals.Systems Management: Act as a local Admin for BMS/ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), overseeing asset management, issue auditing, and troubleshooting.Morale & Team Leadership: Commissioning is a high-pressure phase. You will support the detailed early planning and lead the "final mile," keeping site morale high while guiding General Contractors (GCs), Cx Agents (CxA), and vendors through the project.Reporting & Metrics: Provide accurate Cx performance reporting and develop site-level metrics to monitor progress for the executive team.Skills & QualificationsHands-on Roots: Ideally, you have a background as a service technician (electrical/mechanical), in technical installation, or as part of a commissioning execution team.Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge of how control systems function, specifically BMS (Building Management Systems) or EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems).Education/Certs: A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a major plus. A CxA (Certified Commissioning Authority) certification is highly preferred.Experience with contract administration in a commercial/industrial setting (RFIs, Change Orders, SOV reviews).Proficiency in managing specialized technical commissioning software.Detail-Oriented but Not Rigid: You must be a stickler for quality while remaining flexible enough to solve field problems creatively to meet the intent of the specs.Relational Leader: You care about people and can motivate a team through challenging project milestones.Subject Matter Expert (SME): You act as the site-level authority on the quality and commissioning of all systems with the support of regional teams and engineers.Compensation: $150k/yearSchedule: Full-time on-site (Mon-Fri, 0800-1700); weekends/holidays as required for critical activitiesWork EnvironmentThis role is based at a major data center project (USA Parkway). Applicants should be aware of the commute (approx. 25 miles/45–90+ minutes from Reno/Sparks depending on traffic). Living in Carson City, Virginia City, Silver Springs, etc. could minimize commute significantly.
