Come see what puts the HEART in Heartbeet today!Position AvailableTitle: Non-Residential House LeadJob Description:As a Heartbeet Co-Householder, you will be expected to support the residential Householder in all managerial tasks as well as assist "Friends" or individuals with developmental disabilities in all aspects of their daily life. You will be caring for all of the Friends personal, social/emotional, and behavioral care needs. You will also be responsible for managing all of the administrative functioning for the Friends - ranging from medication tracking to required monthly and annual notes and reports. On top of caring for the Friends, our Co-Householders are also responsible for managing and mentoring the Volunteers and other Caregivers in the home, ensuring that each of them has the opportunity to learn and grow during their time at Heartbeet. They also expected to manage the Household Budget and all other household needs. Lastly, Co-Householders are asked to run/participate in one or more of the crew spaces throughout the week (vocational skill building spaces) to help the Friends grow and cultivate new skills.Why Will You ♡ It Here? Apply today and be a part of what puts the HEART in Heartbeet!Roles & ResponsibilitiesYou will be provided training and guidance to enable you to perform the following tasks, not limited to:Assisting with Personal/Hygiene CareOffering Physical and Emotional SupportCreating Social OpportunitiesPromoting Social HarmonyFacilitating All Medical Care NeedsParticipating in Recreational ActivitiesPerforming Household Tasks (cooking, house-cleaning, and laundry, etc.)Participating in Residential and Vocational ActivitiesManaging Household BudgetsRunning/Participating in CrewsMaintaining RecordsRoles & Responsibilities - Health and SafetyEnsure well-being and safety of staff and Friends by being knowledgeable of, and consistently adhering to, relevant Vermont TCR (Therapeutic Community Residence) regulations, including:Ensuring that homes are clean and safe and provide recommendations concerning repairs, maintenance, renovations or improvements as appropriateIn cooperation with the Director of Licensing and Compliance, supporting investigations of any home-based accidents and ensuring completion of incident reports as requiredEnsuring that the Heartbeet Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are effectively implemented in the homeKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have experience working with others, along with:Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with othersDemonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a teamSelf motivated and driven with the ability to organize and complete tasksWillingness to accept supervision, coaching, and guidance from othersPassionate to work with individuals with differing levels of abilities and needsPositive attitude and excitement to join a mission-driven organizationReliable and able to adapt to changing conditionsDirect experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (preferred but not required)Qualifications18+ Years of AgeHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)Valid U.S. Driver's LicenseI-9 Employment Eligibility VerificationMust pass required Background Checks for positionBenefitsFull-Time Benefits available for employees that maintain 40 Hours per Week.
