With a reputation for precision, accountability, and execution, RCS plays a critical role in delivering high-visibility capital projects across Southern California.Together, Praxis and RCS are seeking Estimators to support major infrastructure programs in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.Drive Cost Accuracy on Complex Capital ProgramsRCS is seeking detail-oriented and analytical Estimators to support planning, design, and construction phases of large-scale projects. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in independent cost estimating, contractor coordination, and change order analysis within public or aviation construction programs.Level II candidates will focus on execution and support, while Level III candidates will take on more leadership, coordination, and negotiation responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Prepare independent cost estimates across planning, design, and construction phasesDevelop detailed estimates including labor, materials, and equipment costsReview and validate Engineers estimates, factoring in phasing, operations, and constraintsPerform quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for systems and subsystemsAnalyze contractor bids and align with independent estimatesSupport or lead estimate reconciliation efforts with contractors and third partiesPrepare constructability reviews to identify risks and cost impactsReview contract documents and evaluate cost implications of scope changesAssist (Level II) or lead (Level III) change order evaluations and negotiationsMaintain historical cost data and support forecasting effortsAdditional Leadership Responsibilities (Level III):Lead negotiation meetings with contractors and subcontractorsFacilitate estimate review meetings and coordinate stakeholder alignmentProvide guidance to junior estimators and contribute to team performanceTake ownership of complex reconciliation and negotiation scenariosRequired Qualifications:5+ years of estimating experience in construction xaygatp or engineering projectsExperience supporting estimating efforts and managing complex reconciliationsPrior experience overseeing or mentoring team members preferredStrong understanding of construction processes and cost driversExperience working with contractors, subcontractors, and public agencies (FAA, LADBS, etc.) Ability to manage multiple projects concurrentlyStrong communication and stakeholder coordination skillsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and accountabilityTechnical Skills:Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Bluebeam and On-Screen Takeoff toolsKnowledge of Prolog or similar project management systems preferredEducation & Certification:Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldCertified Estimating Professional (CEP) credential requiredFlexible work from home options available.
