Dispatch Office SupervisorThe Dispatch Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the scheduling and rerouting of bus routes in coordination with the transportation manager in order to meet the door-to door transportation needs of the frail and elderly population. The Dispatch Office Supervisor provides direct supervision to the dispatchers and is responsible for the overall coordination, training and work practices of the dispatch team and the InnovAge transportation dispatch function.Dispatch Office Administration 30%Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and proceduresOversee all communications within specifically assigned territoriesRelay work orders, messages, or information to and from work crews and managers using telephones or two-way radiosConfer with customers or management to address questions, problems or requests for service or equipmentSupervises the daily operations of office services teamArranges for office services such as communications, typing, word processing, faxing and mail distributionFamiliar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of tasksLeads and directs the work of othersA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedFunctional Category: Supervision -70%Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputesSupervise the work of office, administration, or dispatch employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problemsDiscuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problemsReviews schedules of dispatch workers, work crews, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications or needs using radios or telephonesReview records or reports pertaining to activities such as dispatch, payroll, monitoring work activities, or evaluate performanceRequired:High School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of three (3) years' experience in a dispatch position that utilized scheduling software programTwo(2) years previous supervisory or lead experiencePreferred:Previous experience using Trapeze or similar software programBilingual preferred
