Safely loads and unloads frac sand between truck, rail and silo.The Transload Operator demonstrates and adheres to the company values of: safety, honesty, ownership, respect and teamwork to ensure successful partnerships with customers and employees that result in OmniTRAX's continued success.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESSafely, load and unload (i.e. "transload") frac sand between truck, rail and silo as required at a particular facilitySafely operate various types of equipment: rail car movers, RBT's or Wilson's, etc.Inspect and trouble shoot equipment; perform minor repairs and routine maintenance of equipmentReport verbally and in writing as required; maintain accurate records: activity, inventory, incidents, violations, maintenance, etc.Safely direct truck drivers to proper loading/unloading areas: operate truck scale and prepare/distribute truck Bills of LadingsFollow all Company and facility-specific policies and procedures pertaining to job function and equipment, and safetyParticipate in keeping the facility and equipment clean and maintainedMonitor third parties performing work at the facilityRecommend changes to the operation which may produce safer work processes, cost savings and efficienciesOTHER DUTIESParticipate in general training and job specific training a training as required; successfully complete written examinationsParticipate in the set-up of new facilities and equipmentReport for duty at alternate sites within 20 mi (32 km) radius of primary on-duty point; work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime and various shift workWork safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuriesWear required protective equipment (PPE) such as: hard hats, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, safety glasses etc.Perform other duties and projects as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNoneREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES18 years of age or olderPrior experience operating forklifts.Operate machinery and perform basic mechanical service and repairsUnderstand and comply with procedures pertaining to emergenciesWork cooperatively with superiors and other employeesFocused and detail oriented: complete quality work timelySelf-motivated; carry out tasks independently to meet deadlines and company/customer expectationsBasic computer skillsWrite legibly to complete routine reports and other work documentsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively communicate with all level of employees and business associates in a clear, concise and professional mannerProduce effective verbal and/or written daily reports for both internal and external useRead, comprehend and comply with published rules, procedures and manuals, inspection checklists, government regulation, operating and maintenance instructions, memos and other work-related informationDemonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills resulting in effective resolutionProfessional integrity and accountabilityWork in fast-paced collaborative environmentREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSESValid Driver's LicensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESPrevious experience in Rail Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing and/or Oil & Gas industriesHigh School Diploma/GEDPREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSESNoneWORK ENVIRONMENTExposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions caused by the weather including: snow, rain, heat and sub-freezing temps; loud noise and fumes from gas, oil and greaseTRAVELMinimally, as business requiresPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical Requirements% of Work TimeAuditory and visual acuity: distinguish color, depth perception, focus, near and far sight100%Speak and hear clearly to communicate with employees and business associates100%Continuously stand or walk on level or uneven ground100%Walk long distances per shift100%Ascend and descend railcars, ladders, stairways and incline surfaces50%Bend, crouch, kneel at waist or knees50%Lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 lbs.50%Exert strength up to 150 lbs.
