Overview of Role
Reporting to the Design Manager – North America, this role will be a member of the global Partner Product Innovation & Development (PPID) team and will execute our BOA and Brand Partner 2D footwear design projects. This role will work directly with PPID team members and across various BOA teams to create technical, inspirational, and advanced concepts and renderings that merge performance configurations and fit innovation with current footwear trends. In doing so, this role will help tell our story of innovation and performance fit through sketches, trend and consumer needs analysis, and concept ideation.
Responsibilities (EN):
Core Responsibilities
Reflect and role model BOA’s vision, values and Leadership Model and demonstrate passion for our mission across the PPID team and rest of the organization
Create inspirational footwear designs and products along the spectrum from digital 2D, digital 3D, or fast prototyping that convey a concept story for PPID, Commercial, Marketing and Product Development teams, and that connect with current footwear design trends
Create innovative concepts, components, patterns, processes, and fit-enhancing solutions that help us meet long-term category needs and plans
Support documentation and internal needs with technically accurate images and diagrams
Develop knowledge of our products, including components, appropriate configurations and installation to support new Product Development and PPID
Evolve our current configurations to maximize our options and align with our consumer fit story
Collaborate with 3D prototyping team on cohesive brand partner deliverables and advanced concept explorations
Regularly seek out inspiration by researching new technologies, products and trends in the industry and in the market
Contribute to ideation concept sessions
Contribute to consumer performance and fit assessments
Qualifications (EN):
Required Qualifications
Bachelors in Industrial Design or similar degree in Footwear/Product Design
2+ years of experience in Footwear/Product Design
Demonstrated passion and interest for footwear trends and design, highlighted in your portfolio (required to submit)
Proficiency in Adobe Suite
Advanced sketch visualization skills
Experience managing multiple priorities and project timelines
A passion for problem solving, continuously learning, and seeking out new ideas
Desired Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing
Overview of Compensation and Benefits
Budgeted salary range: $63,000 - $80,000
We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees with similar experience in the same or similar role
This role is also eligible for a 10% annual bonus

For the majority of the Denver team, a hybrid approach is taken with the option to use a mix of remote work, and in-office connection days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Staying connected is really important, both for your mental health and to continue fostering our amazing BOA community
Some roles will require 4-5 days/week in the office if access is needed to product, equipment, specialized technology etc. We will review any job-specific requirements during the interview process
