Quality Control Chemist

I am currently partnered with a fragrance company in search of a Quality Control Chemist based in Florida.This opportunity would suit an experienced fragrance quality professional with a strong background in fragrance evaluation, analytical testing, raw material assessment, and quality control within a fragrance manufacturing environment.Requirements:Experience within a fragrance, flavour, aroma chemical, or fragrance manufacturing environmentProven experience in raw material and finished fragrance quality evaluationHands-on experience with GC-MS operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and analytical interpretationExperience with fragrance odor evaluation and organoleptic assessmentKnowledge of quality systems, documentation, and non-conformance investigationsExperience working with ISO 9001 standards preferredExperience with SAP QM preferredStrong understanding of fragrance raw materials and finished fragrance productsExperience working closely with Perfumery, Quality, Regulatory, and Technical teamsDegree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline preferredResponsibilities:Perform quality evaluation of fragrance raw materials, compounds, and finished productsConduct GC-MS analysis and interpret analytical results to support quality decisionsCarry out olfactive assessments to ensure fragrance consistency and quality standardsInvestigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and out-of-specification resultsMaintain accurate quality documentation in line with internal standards and ISO requirementsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across quality processesCollaborate with Perfumery, Regulatory, Production, and Technical teamsSupport troubleshooting and root cause analysis for quality-related issuesSkills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent knowledge of fragrance ingredients and evaluation methodsExperience interpreting GC-MS dataHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively across technical and cross-functional teamsStrong communication and organisational skillsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing fragrance organisation and play a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and performance of fragrance products across multiple applications.
