Segment Controller
The Network Controller will be a key member of the Record to Report (R2R) accounting leadership team and will be responsible for the accounting operations of an assigned Network. This leadership position will have direct accountability in ensuring the consolidated Network financials are following GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls. The ideal candidate will perform management reporting functions for the Network while supporting various corporate and business initiatives. This person will report to the Network CFO as well as the Global Group Controller.Responsibilities:Partner with the R2R Global Process Owner (GPO) and other Network Controllers on identifying and implementing standardized processesResponsible for the Monthly Financial Statements across the Network AgenciesLead the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, reporting requirements, and variance analysisReview bi-weekly payroll, journal entries and prepare monthly reconciliationsManage the network’s month-end reporting process in compliance with Stagwell global deadlines and guidelinesDrive system and process adoption across the Network AgenciesPlan and coordinate financial integration activities for acquisitionsAssist in the issuance of timely management reports for the Network and Agency CFOsAssist in treasury functions including day to day banking and cash forecastingManage the reconciliation of Intercompany activity with other Stagwell subsidiariesOversee the operations of the accounting department, and work with the central AP, AR, and Billing TeamsEnsure that accounts receivables and payables are posted with proper coding and paid in a timely mannerAssist with the production of the annual budget and quarterly reforecastsCalculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to managementAssist with the preparation of the monthly/quarterly Stagwell reporting packageManage the Internal/External Audits: prepare schedules as assigned and conduct audit research and answer questionsEnsure that effective internal controls are adhered to and comply with GAAP, SOX, ASC 606 and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reportingMonitor and enforce accounting policies and proceduresAssist with Ad hoc requests as assignedRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/FinanceCPA7+ years of related experience, with Public Accounting and industry experience being a plus5+ years of Maconomy (or competitor) experience and proficiency on all Maconomy modulesDemonstrated competence in operational improvement and system optimizationCreative problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate clearly and conciselyExcellent Excel skillsIn order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation for this role is $175,000 - $220,000.
