Grays Harbor College (GHC) is accepting applications for the position of Dean of Student Services & Enrollment Management. This role serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining an integrated, collaborative, and holistic approach to the student experience—from first contact and recruitment through entry advising, registration, enrollment, and program or degree completion.The Dean champions student success, equity, retention, completion, and student well-being. The position oversees the day-to-day operations of Student Services and Enrollment Management and provides leadership for high-touch, proactive outreach, onboarding, and student support strategies that result in measurable improvements in access, persistence, and completion. The Dean works closely with academic deans, instructional leadership, and student services teams to implement evidence-based, data-informed practices that support student learning and achievement. This individual is an innovative, forward-thinking leader who views student services, technology, and partnerships as interconnected tools for building a student-centered culture.The Student Services division is fast-paced and high-energy, with work-intensive schedules that may include travel, evenings, and weekends during peak periods. The Dean is an active member of the campus community and the broader Grays Harbor and Pacific County regions and reports to the Vice President for Learning & Student Success. The Dean also serves as the College’s Student Conduct Officer.Grays Harbor College has an excellent benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, primary and supplemental retirement programs and long-term disability insurance. We strive to create a culturally relevant environment on campus and in the community by learning and practicing equity-mindedness and promoting faculty, staff, and student diversity.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership & AdministrationProvide leadership, strategic planning, and supervision for Student Services and Enrollment Management areas, including but not limited to: Enrollment Services/Registration, Financial Aid, Workforce Funding and Support Programs, Advising and Counseling, Recruitment and Outreach, and diversity-focused outreach and retention efforts.Create and sustain a positive, inclusive work environment that supports staff growth, accountability, and professional development; model high standards of professionalism and ethical leadership.Recruit, hire, mentor, supervise, and evaluate staff; ensure completion of annual performance evaluations and required training.Serve as a point of contact and decision-maker for Student Services in the absence of associate deans or directors and provide backup support to the Vice President as needed.Student Success, Enrollment Management & Guided PathwaysDevelop, implement, and continuously improve an integrated, collaborative, and holistic student support and onboarding model aligned with Guided Pathways.Lead the development and implementation of the College’s comprehensive enrollment management strategy, including market segmentation, calling and outreach campaigns, recruitment tactics, and promotional strategies aligned with institutional priorities.Co-chair Guided Pathways implementation and lead the ongoing management and administration of the work plan in collaboration with instructional leadership.Collaborate with instructional and student services leaders to design and implement evidence-based, data-driven, high-impact practices that improve recruitment, retention, and completion.Compliance, Policy & Student Well-BeingServe as the College’s designated Student Conduct Officer, adjudicate student appeals and grievances and enforce the student Code of Conduct in all student discipline issues.Represents the college in the community and serve on campus and state committees as appropriate.Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations affecting Student Services (e.g., ADA, FERPA, Title IX).Serve on the college’s Title IX and CARE committees; respond to campus emergencies as needed.Ensure student services and programs address current and emerging student needs, including basic needs support and mental health services.Data, Technology & Continuous ImprovementOversee implementation, expansion, and effective use of the College’s student success management platforms (e.g., EAB Navigate Core/360 and CRM) and champion adoption by staff and faculty.Participate in and support ctcLink/PeopleSoft implementation and ongoing administration related to Student Services functions.Use technology and data to compile, analyze, and interpret enrollment, retention, and student success metrics to inform continuous improvement.Lead ongoing review and improvement of Student Services processes, procedures, and policies to improve efficiency, access, and service delivery.Budgeting, Reporting & External EngagementMonitor department and project budgets; develop annual budget requests and participate in the College budgeting process.Compile and report enrollment statistics, student outcomes, and other required reports to the Vice President, Cabinet, and external entities.Represent Grays Harbor College in the community; serve on campus committees and state-level work groups; participate in professional development and regional or statewide initiatives.Build and maintain partnerships with K–12 districts, higher education institutions, workforce partners, social service agencies, and health organizations to support educational access and student success.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibility Associate Dean of Financial Aid and Workforce FundingDirector of Enrollment Services/Registrar, Admissions and RecordsDirector of Advising QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in student services leadership).Three years of student services leadership experience in higher education Strong personnel management skills including the ability to manage multiple functions and organize resources to meet goals and objectivesExperience in budget oversight and financial managementDemonstrated experience in serving students, in collaboration with others, from diverse, low income, or academically challenged backgrounds Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and anti-racist education, programs and policies Commitment to process monitoring and continuous process improvement in systems and servicesExperienced technology user including enterprise level and desktop tools deployed to improve student affairs servicesPreferred QualificationsDoctoral degree from an accredited institution in related fieldFive (5) years or more of student services leadership experience in higher education Experience with data tracking, analysis and reporting Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and awareness of policies and laws affecting student affairs service areasAwareness of Title IX trends, legal obligations, and regional/national initiatives Demonstrated experience implementing student success programs involving multiple departments.Strong background in and/or knowledge of strategic enrollment management processesExperience in Student Services in the Washington State and Community and Technical College SystemExperience with ctcLink/Peoplesoft Bilingual Spanish/EnglishAPPLY ONLINE @ 🔗 https://www.schooljobs.com/careers/ghc
