Job descriptionJunior Equity Analyst in NYC - SMID Cap Focused Global Long/Short Fundamental Equity Hedge Fund $1.7bn AUM, 23-year double digit track record looking for an Fundamental Jr. Equity Analyst to support research efforts. Comfort with financial statement analysis required (we will ask you detailed questions). Must be passionate about investing and able to demonstrate through past experience your interest in stock picking. Position will entail management meetings, company analysis across multiple geographies, sectors, and long & short. Financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, etc. will be among the duties performed. Position is ideal for candidates with a deep passion and curiosity for stock picking, understanding industries, businesses, and who truly enjoy the creative process of discovering unique ideas. Our firm is only 10 people. Candidate must be comfortable working on a small team - position reports to portfolio manager / principals of the firm. Desired experience level is 3-6 years (this is a Jr. Analyst role) may be buyside, sellside or related.
