Systems Engineer Controls
Position OverviewSeeking a Systems Engineer Controls with experience in Systems Engineering, Automotive Electrical Systems, and Software Development to support the development and launch of next-generation vehicle features. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, GitHub, MBSE, and vehicle electrical architectures.Position Title: Systems Engineer ControlsLocation: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite/Week)Duration: 1 year contractTravel: No Travel RequiredPay Range: $43–$46 per hour on W2Key ResponsibilitiesLead system-level feature development from concept through production launch.Design and develop vehicle feature systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Develop system architectures, network topologies, wiring diagrams, and power distribution schematics.Create and maintain functional requirements, specifications, and verification plans.Perform Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) assessments.Develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Python.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, electrical, and mechanical engineering.Support vehicle system integration, validation, and troubleshooting.Required Skills3+ years of Systems Engineering experience (Automotive preferred).3+ years of Software Engineering experience.Strong knowledge of:Vehicle Electrical SystemsCAN CommunicationMBSESDLCPythonGitHubRequirements ManagementFunctional Safety & CybersecurityExperience writing system requirements, specifications, and verification plans.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred5+ years of Automotive Engineering experience.Experience with Systems Engineering V-Model, DFMEA, D&R, and electrical testing.GTech is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
