Fund Accountant

Fund Accountant | Private Credit | Houston, TXFund Accountant opportunity with a growing alternative asset manager focused on private credit and complex investment strategies. The firm partners with a wide range of institutional investors and offers strong exposure to structured products, fund operations, and investment analysis.This role sits on the finance team and works closely with senior leadership, including the Controller, with direct involvement in NAV processes, fund accounting, and investor reporting.Key Responsibilities:Support month-end NAV process, including review of fund administrator reports and NAV validationAnalyze fund documents (LPAs, PPMs) to ensure proper accounting treatmentReview investment transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatmentAssist in fund performance analysis and reportingCoordinate with auditors and support audit deliverablesContribute to investor reporting and ongoing fund operationsSupport ad hoc projects and process improvement initiativesWhat They’re Looking For:2+ years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or fund administrationStrong understanding of US GAAP (IFRS a plus)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA (or progress toward) preferredStrong Excel skills and comfort working with dataDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong opportunity for someone coming out of public accounting (no direct fund experience required) looking to break into the buy-side within a growing and dynamic platform.
