Job Title: Operador de MontacargasThe Forklift Operator is responsible for operating motorized industrial equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Responsible for the accurate storage, shipping, and receiving of products, complying with company standards in safety, protection, and productivity.Employees are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality, as well as all corporate and site-specific policies. They may be required to perform a combination of the following functions.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReception/StorageDownload incoming shipments safely and move products to storage locations; enter data accurately in the WMS system.Stack and store products efficiently in the corresponding areas.Maintain an organized work area.Order PreparationSelect and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product.Perform picking activities efficiently according to customer service standards.Prepare the load accurately and promptly.QualityEnsure that incoming and outgoing shipments are correct and free from damage.Report any quality variations.DeliveryMove products efficiently from the preparation and/or storage area to production lines or loading docks.Ensure that all cargo has the appropriate documentation.InventoryMaintain records and reports to ensure accurate and secure inventory control.Support physical inventories and ensure proper inventory rotation.Safety, Order, and ComplianceMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, and support warehouse safety.Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and company policies.Load, unload, move, stack, and arrange materials using forklifts or other motorized equipment.Keep the facility and materials in orderly conditions.Perform daily minor inspection and maintenance on equipment.Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following established methods.Maintain current certification to operate forklifts.MaintenancePerform or support maintenance of facilities, equipment, and assigned areas.Other Responsibilities (Site Specific)Change forklift fuel tanks when necessary.Participate in physical inventories.Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packaging, and repacking tasks.Repair pallets, trailers, and loading docks as needed.Help maintain a clean and safe facility.Perform other tasks as required.Work overtime as needed for business requirements (mandatory or voluntary).Supervision ResponsibilitiesNoneMinimum RequirementsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).At least 6 months of experience in logistics, distribution, or similar environment.Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE).Ability to work in different temperatures within the warehouse.CertificationsApproved certification in forklift operation.Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesComputer SkillsBasic computer knowledgeExperience with RF scannersHandling of WMS systemsLanguageEnglish (reading, writing, and conversation)Math SkillsBasic to intermediate knowledge to verify quantities and inventory countOtherAttention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficientlyAbility to work with minimal supervisionAdaptability in dynamic work environmentsPreferred Qualifications1–2 years of warehouse/logistics experience1–2 years of forklift experienceCurrent or previous certification in MHEPhysical DemandsOccasionallyManipulation/manual dexterity, sittingFrequentlyBendingConstantlyWalking and standingPhysical RequirementsLift/carry and push/pull 21 to 50 poundsReach above shoulder, extend arms, crouch or kneelWork EnvironmentThe employee is rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or hazardous chemicals.
