Project Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to work within our fast-paced, energetic environment. This role is responsible for driving consistent project support in in a collaborative manner across all facilities through innovative application of engineering and lean manufacturing tools to pursue transformative operational excellence and sustainable process improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizational Development 10% Achieves quarterly goals and objectives. Interface effectively with other functions to maximize success and increase expertise across the entire organization. Interact with project team members and key stakeholders to develop, execute and hand-off sustainable improvement initiatives across all operation functions as defined project deliverables. Continuous Improvement 45% Support business unit continuous improvement initiatives to ensure completion of annual project plans; deploying as needed to facilities. Analyze existing processes, and equipment to provide recommendations for needed capacity, efficiency improvements, and safety modifications, contributing to development of continuous improvement pipeline. Directly contribute gathering information and data, monitor and report project activities, savings, and metrics for each facility on projects assigned. Strategic Project Execution 45% Support strategic initiatives delivering >$1M annually in margin improvement through key identified and approved projects. Assist in generation key maintenance, engineering, and operational data to build project justifications and subsequent approvals, maintaining and $2-5M pipeline of opportunity. Demonstrate effective project leadership and team collaboration by completing all assigned projects on time, on budget and successfully achieving project expectations in compliance with our safety policies and company regulations. Organize, modify, and keep updated the architectural, technical and design drawing for the entire organization to facilitate any regulatory requirement. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 1-5 years related engineering experience. BS in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field. Confident, self-starter, with the ability to drive projects to completion. Ability to fulfill travel expectations. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: POSITION TYPE: Regular, Full-Time POSITION LOCATION: 825 E. Wisconsin Ave, Appleton, WI 54912-0359 WORK SCHEDULE: This position is onsite and works between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The schedule may fluctuate and will be based on business needs.
