Instructional Technologist

Instructional Technologist FWI is building a team to support the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS) NPS Extended Campus (NEC) and Office of University Communications (OUC). NEC integrates educational technology into NPS graduate-level programs, supporting faculty and students across resident and distance learning environments. This position will bridge instructional technology support, faculty training, and course development to enhance the delivery of NPS academic content. The Instructional Technologist will assist faculty with technology integration, create training resources and tutorials, and support the evaluation of emerging educational tools, ensuring NPS instructors have the technology support they need to deliver effective learning experiences.FWI is expanding rapidly and has been recognized as a 2024 and 2025 Top Workplace by the Washington Post, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.Work Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CAResponsibilities Support faculty in integrating technology into course design and deliveryCreate tutorials and knowledge base articlesAssist with LMS course builds; support video project executionEvaluate and recommend new educational tools and modalitiesQualifications Required:BA/BS degree in education, instructional design, or relevant discipline.3 years of experience with instructional design, instructional technology, and distance learning.Desired:Experience assisting faculty with incorporating instructional technologies into distance learning.Understanding of adult learning theories in STEM higher education.Experience providing training on instructional technologies.Why Join Our Team At FWI, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
