If you want to make a difference in Aircraft Carrier maintenance and modernization, Carrier Planning Activity is the place to be!We are seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth, Virginia, providing engineering and technical support for U.S. Navy aircraft carrier programs.š§ Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, and/or naval architecture as they relate to aircraft carrier Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E), aviation, and electronic shipboard systems.Apply knowledge of aircraft carrier maintenance philosophy, ship installation drawings, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles, and ship operations.Support the development, management, and refinement of non-nuclear Carrier Maintenance Plans (CMPs), Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWPs), and modernization efforts for execution during CVN availabilities.Ensure technical requirements, periodicities, and associated configurations remain current for assigned CMP maintenance requirements.Collect, manage, and analyze maintenance, risk, and material-condition data to identify findings and support evaluation and corrective action.Assist in developing life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and selected components.Develop, maintain, and report program metrics as required.š QualificationsBachelorās degree in any engineering discipline.Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience.10+ years of professional experience preferred.Experience with data analytics, maintenance, and modernization related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design, construction, or maintenance is highly desirable.š Security ClearanceMust possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.š Location: Portsmouth, VA ā Mission: Supporting the U.S. Navy and the readiness of our nationās aircraft carriers.If you or someone in your network has the engineering experience and Navy shipboard knowledge weāre looking for, weād love to hear from you!Please visit us at www.esncc.com/careers
