Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for the engineering, implementation, integration, and sustainment of the project Tool's Suite in a Linux environment. This role ensures secure credential management, privileged access controls, secrets management, and automation capabilities that align with mission security and compliance requirements. The Software Engineer shall serve as the SME for the tool's technologies running on Linux systems and shall collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityNine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of ToolsExperience developing scripts using Bash/PythonRecent software development experience using Python and JavaStrong background in Linux administration such as RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, UbuntuHands-on experience implementing or supporting at least one Delinea product (e.g., Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault)Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), certificate-based authentication, and security best practicesExperience troubleshooting system-level issues in distributed environments, including logs, services, networking, and authenticationFamiliarity with API-based integrations, RESTful services, and secrets automation in CI/CD pipelinesExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStackExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret‑handling patternsExperience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolutionDesired Skills:Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and ConfluenceExperience supporting enterprise security tools or working in a cybersecurity-focused software engineering roleThis position is open for direct hires only.
