Electrical Apprentice

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on residential and commercial sites, learning essential skills and techniques to advance in their electrical career. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems as directed. Participate in construction activities including frame carpentry as needed. Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to maintain safety and compliance on job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Qualifications Previous experience as a residential or commercial electrician is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Basic understanding of electrical concepts including low voltage, high voltage, and NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical installations. Experience working on construction sites is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices on the job site. Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic is essential for success in this role.
