Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.INVENTORY SPECIALIST MULTIPLE SHIFTS - (STARSHIELD)The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing material offload, staging, receipt, stow, storage compliance, picking, packing, sort, delivery, scrap, and cycle count activities for development projects, engineering teams, and production line side fulfillment.ResponsibilitiesReceive, store and issue raw material, parts, details and hardware to support shop operationsStore parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying part and stored locationPerform picking function to make up necessary kits of parts, material and hardware as required, ascertaining that all parts are available and accounted for in kitMaintain strict material handling practices in accordance with proceduresMonitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stockVerify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisionsIssue material against approved paperwork such as affixing verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuingValidate lot tracePerform cycle countsPerform standard housekeeping chores in areaSupport the organizations metric goals and objectivesAbide by all procedures, desk instructions and standard operating documentsBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of inventory control experiencePreferred Skills And Experience3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouseERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processesExperience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipmentExperience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fieldsAdditional RequirementsMust be available for one of the following shifts:First Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Monday - Friday)Must be available for overtime, all shifts, and weekend work as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is requiredCandidate must be capable of safely working at heights (up to 500ft), in confined spaces, using an air purifying respirator, and performing the physical requirements of the job listed in the job description. Candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment questionnaire and/or physical to confirm these capabilities, which may include a medical history review. Lift / Carry: Up to 50lbs.
