OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. JOB DESCRIPTIONFOX6 Milwaukee is a dynamic and innovative media organization committed to delivering top-notch content across multiple platforms. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player to join our Sales Team and contribute to our continued success. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the FOX6 Sales Team to drive revenue across all platforms. Your primary focus will be day-to-day interaction with FOX Station Sales (FSS), the company’s national sales organization. You will also collaborate with various areas of the sales department, including digital sales, traffic, and research.ResponsibilitiesEnter advertising orders and revisions in the WideOrbit Traffic systemConfirm sales orders in WideOrbit ConnectCommunicate with national sales representatives regarding preempted commercials and make-good offers, and follow up on unresolved issues through completionProvide weekly exact commercial advertising times to sales representatives or advertisersWork with the Finance department on invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issuesNotify sales representatives and clients of any late runs due to programming overruns, breaking news, or other changesSupport Sales Managers by coordinating with Creative Services on commercial production projectsSupport local Account Executives with order entry, proposals, and reportingOversee paid programming by working directly with FSS to ensure all time periods are sold, including program titles and CIA checksCollaborate with the Traffic department on advertising copy managementPartner with other sales support personnel as neededWork with Sales Management on political advertising, including maintaining contracts, ensuring FCC paperwork is complete, and verifying that cash-in-advance payments have been receivedMaintain political files on the FCC websiteSupport other station departments and initiatives as neededAssist with additional projects and duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s college degree preferred, or equivalent work experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detailStrong work ethicPersonable with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn industry software, including WideOrbit and KantarWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
