We are hiring an English Language Teacher (ESL) to provide in-person customized lessons to children in Carmel, IN.Job Information:Class numbers: 197322 and 197323Student: Two eleven-year-old siblings, taking individual classes back-to-backTarget language: EnglishRequested times:  In May, weekends 4-8 pm; in June, weekdays after 3 pmPreferred start date: ASAPLesson frequency: 4x per weekLesson length: 30 minutes for each studentStudent’s location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Carmel, IN 46032 (near Hotel Carmichael on 1 Carmichael Square)Current English level: Complete beginnersLanguages spoken at home: Japanese and ChineseStudents’ language needs and goals: Their lessons should focus on building vocabulary, learning common phrases used by native speakers in everyday situations, and developing confidence through conversations with native speakers. Special emphasis should also be placed on school-related vocabulary and social language to help them make friends and integrate more easily into their new environmentResponsibilities:Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessonsDeveloping curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomesMonitoring students’ progress and guiding learners towards learning goalsCommunicating in an efficient, effective, and professional mannerQualifications:To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target languageTo have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field. To have a minimum of two years of experience teaching ESLExperience teaching children is a mustAll Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
