Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Battery Production & Test Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing and testing operations for battery systems. This role oversees end-to-end production and validation activities, ensuring all products meet applicable quality, safety, and performance standards. The Supervisor will drive execution, support continuous improvement initiatives, and lead a team responsible for both build and test operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise battery production and testing activities, ensuring compliance with established work instructions, engineering requirements, and quality standardsOversee cell receiving, inspection, processing, cycling, grading, and matching prior to pack assemblyManage mechanical and electrical assembly operations, including cell integration, electrical connections, and final pack buildSupervise battery testing processes, including cell-level and pack-level electrical and functional testingEnsure accurate execution of test procedures, proper data collection, and traceability of test resultsPartner with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve production or test failuresOversee critical manufacturing processes such as welding, marking, adhesive application, and controlled curing processesCoordinate personnel across assigned shifts to meet production schedules, cost targets, and quality objectivesMaintain 6S standards, housekeeping, and operational effectiveness within assigned production and test areasSupport employee onboarding, training, process audits, and skills development to meet departmental and regulatory requirementsMotivate, coach, and engage team members to drive performance, accountability, and collaborationSupport achievement of operational metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivityQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experienceExperienceA minimum of 5 years of experience supervising production, manufacturing, or test operations in a technical environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting battery, electronics, or precision assembly manufacturingFamiliarity with battery testing, cycling, electrical validation, and data reviewExposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesBackground in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing environmentsSoft SkillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teamsProven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesMeticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistencyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environmentTechnology StackManufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or production tracking toolsElectrical test equipment and data acquisition systemsStandard productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, documentation, reporting software)Quality and process documentation systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in a manufacturing and test environment with prolonged standing, walking, and occasional liftingAbility to work around production machinery and electrical test equipmentAbility to use a computer and related equipment for extended periodsThis job description may not be inclusive to the duties and responsibilities listed.
