For more information, visit www.cooklist.com Job Description: As a senior web scraping engineer you will have the opportunity to make foundational decisions around our system architecture, schema and the API’s that power our experience. The key responsibilities include: Working closely with the founders, project managers and designers on product roadmaps and product direction to help solve business problems Making critical decisions about our technical direction and architecture as we build and scale our product to tens of millions of users Take ownership over the entire lifecycle of software design, implementation, testing, deploying and maintenance Work in an agile, remote-first, startup environment Help to create our engineering culture and processes as we grow our engineering team We're looking for exceptional engineers, and as such we’re offering competitive base salaries and generous early-hire equity. Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a software engineer 3+ years of experience working with Web scraping Write clean, maintainable code and implement end to end testing Strong intuition for performant robust architectures and a track record of efficient implementation. Experience an individual contributor capable of taking ownership to design and build sophisticated systems quickly while working in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have: Experience with following: Django, React, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, AWS, Celery, Docker Experience integrating with many third party API’s that change often Comfortable going full stack with a Javascript frontend Why Cooklist?
