Staff Software Engineer
Day to DayWe are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to design and build the AI Agentic core and foundation powering Employer agentic solutions. In the role, you will bridge robust enterprise systems with cutting-edge Agentic AI. You will take deep technical ownership of a complex, state-of-the-art backend architecture that integrates AI Agents orchestrated with LangGraph in Python, a scalable GraphQL API layer, and a responsive React frontend.As a Staff Engineer, you will be a deeply involved technical leader — writing code, driving key architectural decisions within the team, and collaborating across Talent Scout, AI Infrastructure, and AI product teams. You will ensure our systems are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product goals.ResponsibilitiesOwn the design, development, and evolution of complex systems, frameworks, or platforms.Drive technical decision-making, balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability and scalability.Architect new solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and validate ideas through prototyping, experimentation, or iteration on existing systems.Participate in and influence code and design reviews across teams to uphold high engineering standards.Identify performance, reliability, and scalability improvements and drive enhancements to existing systems.Mentor and guide other engineers, supporting technical growth and best practices across teams.Communicate clearly and effectively with engineers, product managers, and other business partners to align on technical direction and execution.Skills & CompetenciesRequires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics, and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years experience.Proficiency in software design, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.Experience designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable software systems or platforms.Demonstrated ownership and accountability for technical outcomes and system quality.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.Salary Range TransparencyTier 1 – United States of America 140,000 – 210,000 USD per yearTier 2 – United States of America 155,000 – 233,000 USD per yearTier 3 – United States of America 171,000 – 257,000 USD per yearTier 4 – N/ATier 5 – United States of America 195,000 – 293,000 USD per yearBenefitsWe care about what you care about.
