You will be treated as the professional you are, your opinions will be heard, and your contributions will matter.PRIMARY ESTATE PLANNING RESPONSIBILITIES• Prepare drafts of estate planning documents, notate questions for the reviewing attorney, and request missing information from clients when necessary• Drive estate planning files from open to close with minimal guidance• Supervise the signing of estate planning documentsPRIMARY PROBATE RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage probate files from open to close, including communications with clients, the court, and ancillary parties with minimal attorney support• Provide white-glove client support throughout the probate process, including assistance with non-probate asset administrationPRIMARY GUARDIANSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage guardianship files from open to close, including communications with clients, the court, and ancillary parties with minimal attorney support• Prepare and file annual guardianship reports in a timely and accurate mannerGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of documents• Develop, improve, and document policies and procedures on an ongoing basis• Enter notes and billable time into the firm’s case management system contemporaneously• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients throughout the life of their matter• Pursue continuing legal and non-legal education to stay current on developments and best practicesWHAT WE LOOK FORSkills and experience get you in the door. You should be comfortable learning new software and open to better ways of doing things.QUALIFICATIONSCandidates must have 5 or more years of paralegal experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship administration. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. You should be comfortable managing files independently and working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.This is a full-time hybrid position. We are ideally looking for someone who can work from our Hollywood, Florida office on a hybrid schedule, though we are open to a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe salary range is $50,000 to $85,000, with opportunities to earn additional compensation. Benefits become available after 90 days and include PTO, paid holidays, health and vision plans, and professional training.
