Machine Operator (Laser Weld/ Cladding)

Our proprietary coatings and heat treatment protect customer-supplied components such as mandrels, fishing tools, and conveyors in oil and gas, mining, power generation, and plastics industries. . *We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented PTA Operator with welding experience and knowledge who is eager to grow their technical skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, and passionate about delivering quality products. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Engineering and Operations teams, develop problem-solving skills, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.* *Essential Responsibilities* * Set up and complete process steps independently. * Troubleshoot and correct parameters as required. * Troubleshoot equipment inconsistencies as required. * Perform routine maintenance on equipment. * Read drawings to identify cladding dimensions and thicknesses. * Verify thickness with basic dimensional measuring tools. * Create and maintain parameter and work order records of work performed. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. * Report any safety or quality issues to your supervisor. * Be adaptable to take on additional duties as needed, including occasional overtime. *Qualifications/Skills:* * Basic understanding of welding procedures. * Intermediate to advanced math skills. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables. * Able to gain fundamental knowledge of the process specific equipment. * Organizational skills with attention to details. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Strive for continuous improvement both professionally and personally. * Team player with strong interpersonal skills and accountability. * Willingness to work overtime when required. *RESULTS* * Flexibility to contribute to new developments and engineering projects. * High-quality, consistent overlays with traceability through detailed record keeping. * A highly productive product line with operators able to oversee one or two stations. * Ensure that all parts meet specification, adjust accordingly. * Highly trained personnel with the skills to diagnose, correct, and improve processes.
