Location: Montpelier, VT (Remote with possible onsite meetings)Duration: Contract (12 months, with potential extension)Technical Environment: Salesforce, Azure DevOps, Agile/ScrumPosition OverviewA government regulatory program is seeking an experienced Application Product Owner to support a large-scale Salesforce application used for licensing, renewals, inventory tracking, and compliance oversight. The Product Owner will play a critical role in stabilizing the existing system, refining requirements, coordinating with development teams, and leading Agile delivery processes. This role combines product ownership, business analysis, and Scrum Master responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and future system needs.Create, manage, and prioritize a backlog of epics, features, and user stories in Azure DevOps.Work with leadership to determine development priorities for the next 12 months.Requirements ManagementElicit, refine, and document business and technical requirements.Convert business processes into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Review and update existing artifacts created in earlier project phases.Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) throughout the project lifecycle.Serve as Scrum Master for the development team, including:Daily standupsSprint planningSprint reviews and retrospectivesRemoving delivery blockersEnsure sprint goals, backlog items, and acceptance criteria are clearly understood by the team.Stakeholder & Cross‐Functional CollaborationAct as primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and system stakeholders.Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and reviews with internal teams.Communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and progress regularly to project stakeholders.Participate in planning future system phases, including inspections and enforcement modules.Testing & Quality AssuranceSupport user acceptance testing and validate that developed features meet acceptance criteria.Ensure documentation is stored in the designated repository and updated throughout the project.Support system stabilization efforts to resolve defects and optimize existing functionality.Identify, refine, and prioritize backlog items tied to defects, enhancements, or legislative changes.Assist in coordinating vendor resources and supporting new project staffing as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications8 – 9 years of demonstrated experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.Strong ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.Experience leading Agile ceremonies (Scrum Master responsibilities included).Proficiency with Azure DevOps for backlog, epics, and release planning.Familiarity with Salesforce platforms (highly preferred).Experience working in regulated industries such as licensing, compliance, inventory tracking, or public sector programs.Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in industries involving regulatory oversight, enforcement, compliance, or seed‐to‐sale inventory tracking.Background supporting multi-phase system implementations.Knowledge of automated testing tools and release management pipelines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
